The nonprofit corporation is organized for the following purposes: Puerto Rico Cambia Inc., is a PUBLIC BENEFIT nonprofit corporation that is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code, including for such purpose, the making of distributions organizations that qualify as tax-exempt organizations under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, this corporation is organized exclusively for educational programs. The purposes of the corporation shall include, but not limited to: Focus on offering the knowledge and tools to individuals and communities around Puerto Rico so that they realize they are capable of transforming their lifestyle into one that is of benefit to themselves, their neighbors and the community. We target health, mental health and good citizenship. No part of the net earnings of the nonprofit corporation shall inure to the benefit of, or be distributable to its members, directors, officers, or other private persons, except that the nonprofit corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of the purposes set forth above. No substantial part of the activities of the nonprofit corporation shall be the carrying on of propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the corporation shall not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distribution of statements), any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office. Notwithstanding any other provisions, the nonprofit corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted to be carried on by a nonprofit corporation exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c ) (3) of Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding provisions of any future United States Internal Revenue Code.
